From analysing the product range to normal operation.
Hand over the entire warehouse function: space, equipment, staff, records and reporting. You focus on sales and purchasing; we take care of the logistics.
Fixed warehouse costs
become variable
The company stops running the warehouse as a separate division: no renting space, buying equipment, hiring storekeepers or implementing an accounting system. Your own warehouse costs the same in December and February, even if turnover differs threefold. Outsourcing follows the flow of goods.
Receiving vehicles
Unloading, checking against documents, recording discrepancies with a photo report.
Registration and put-away
Registration in the WMS and addressed put-away based on turnover rules.
Storage under set conditions
Temperature range and product compatibility are maintained by regulation.
Handling of goods
Order picking, labelling, stickering and repacking to the consignee's requirements.
Shipping and documents
Picking, checks in the dispatch area, paperwork and handover to the carrier.
Reporting and reconciliation
Stocktaking, daily stock levels, a certificate and reconciliation at the end of the period.
The warehouse runs,
and you don't have to manage it
Staff, loading equipment, racking and accounting system licences are on the complex's side. You don't deal with holidays, sick leave or turnover: the operator is responsible for staffing each shift.
Daily stock reconciliation at the start.
Every item confirmed by scanning.
All operations are visible in the personal account: who received the truck, where the pallet was put, which cells the order was picked from.
When outsourcing pays off
and when it doesn't
We calculate both scenarios with the client's figures before the contract is signed.
Hand the warehouse to an operator
Clear signs: the warehouse takes a disproportionate share of management attention, the flow of goods varies seasonally by more than one and a half times, picking accuracy is falling and claims are rising.
- demand seasonality above 1.5×;
- entering a new region without building infrastructure;
- your own warehouse has run out of space;
- mis-pick claims are growing.
Keep the warehouse in-house
If your goods have unique storage requirements and the volume is stable and large, your own warehouse may be cheaper. We say so directly, even if it means a smaller bill for us.
- stable volume with no seasonal dips;
- unique storage conditions;
- the warehouse is part of the production cycle.
How the switch
to outsourcing works
The switch takes two to four weeks. Enhanced control runs for the first month, after which the process moves to normal operation.
Analysis
We review the product range, volumes and shipping schedule and calculate the economics of both scenarios.
Procedures
We agree who does what and when, how documents are processed and what reporting is needed.
Setup
We allocate pallet places, set up the product catalogue in the WMS and assign a dedicated manager.
Normal operation
First month — daily reconciliation and review of deviations, then weekly and monthly.
How it works in practice
Warehouse move in 6 shifts without stopping shipments
The client rented premises without racking and lost up to 4 hours a day searching for goods.
Picking accuracy rose to 99.6 %, and order picking time fell from 5 to 1.5 hours.
A warehouse that gets cheaper in the low season
Fixed costs for their own warehouse stayed the same even though turnover differed threefold between seasons.
Spending became variable and followed the flow of goods, freeing up working capital in the off-season.
