Winter minimum: electronics, cosmetics, food.
A temporary storage warehouse with open and closed areas on the complex's premises. The goods stay under customs control while you sort out clearance, without tying up your working capital.
Money stays in circulation
while clearance is under way
A temporary storage warehouse is a site where imported goods stay under customs control until released into free circulation. While the cargo is there, duties are not yet paid. Foreign trade documents rarely arrive perfect: while the issue is resolved, the goods are already in Astana, under a roof and under guard.
Deferred payments
Customs payments are made at the time of release, not when the cargo arrives in Astana.
Phased release
The batch can be released in parts as it sells, spreading payments over time.
Closed area
A heated area kept no lower than +12 °C for electronics, cosmetics, clothing and food.
Open yard
An equipped yard for oversized cargo: machinery, rolled metal, building materials.
Security and control
Both areas are inside a guarded perimeter, under CCTV and entry control.
Switch to storage
After release the goods are moved to responsible storage right here, without transport.
Closed area
and open yard
The area is chosen to suit the cargo. The closed area has pallet and rack storage, with an address for each batch; the open yard is designed for oversized cargo in transport packaging.
From inbound to outbound transport without racking.
Akzhol 37/4, with direct access to the Astana ring road.
Deferred payments, phased release of the batch, guarded storage and a direct switch to responsible storage after release.
Temporary storage or cross-docking:
which to choose
The scheme depends on whether you need to store the goods or quickly distribute the batch to consignees.
Temporary storage
The goods wait under customs control for release into free circulation. Suitable when documents are still being processed, an inspection is needed or the batch is released in parts.
- imports with clearance still in progress;
- phased release of a batch as it sells;
- you need to defer customs payments;
- the cargo needs covered storage.
Cross-docking
The goods are not put on racks: the incoming batch is broken down, re-sorted for consignees and shipped out the same day. There is one condition — an exact transport schedule.
- distribution to a network of outlets in the regions;
- a large batch for several consignees;
- an exact schedule for inbound and outbound transport.
How to hand goods over
to temporary storage
Before the truck arrives we agree the date, volume and type of cargo and reserve space in the right area.
Agreement
Date, volume and type of cargo, receiving the shipping documents, reserving space.
Receiving cargo
Receiving by number of packages, recording packaging condition, registering the placement.
Clearance
The client or their customs representative handles the procedure; the goods remain under control the whole time.
Release
After release, the batch can be collected or moved straight to responsible storage in the same complex.
How it works in practice
Temporary storage with phased customs clearance of batches
The batch arrived in one container and was released into circulation in parts over two months.
The client spread customs payments over time and freed up working capital.
A batch for five consignees in one shift
A large delivery arrived in one truck and had to be distributed to regional outlets.
Cross-docking: the goods were re-sorted and shipped the same day, without being put on racks.
