In every project we record baseline figures before we start: order picking time, the share of shipping discrepancies, the cost of storing one pallet per month, truck waiting time during loading. After three months the same figures are measured again, and the difference is the basis for our conclusions.
We don't quote figures that can't be confirmed by an export from the accounting system. If there was no improvement in some area, we say so directly — most often this means the task was about procurement or transport rather than the warehouse.
Moving a warehouse while keeping shipments going — 5 to 10 shifts depending on the number of pallets and the product range. Launching responsible storage from scratch — 3 to 5 working days. A full switch to outsourcing with procedures and catalogues set up — 2 to 4 weeks.
